Ps 82:1	The psalmist, having exhorted the judges,
Ps 82:1	¶ *A Psalm of Asaph².* God³ standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods⁴.
Ps 82:2 •JUSTICE-INJUSTICE	How⁵ long will ye judge⁶ unjustly, and accept⁷ the persons of the wicked? Selah.
Ps 82:3 •JUSTICE-INJUSTICE •POVERTY-RICHES	Defend⁸ the poor and fatherless: do⁹ justice to the afflicted and needy.
Ps 82:4 •POOR AND NEEDY	Deliver¹⁰ the poor and needy: rid¹¹ them out of the hand of the wicked.
Ps 82:5	and reproved their negligence,
Ps 82:5 •DISCERNMENT-DULLNESS •LIGHT-DARKNESS	They¹² know not,¹³ neither will they understand; they walk¹⁴ on in darkness: all the¹⁵ foundations of the earth are out of course¹⁶.
Ps 82:6 •MAN	¶¹⁷I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
Ps 82:7	But¹⁸ ye shall die like men¹⁹, and fall²⁰ like one of the princes.
Ps 82:8	prays God to judge.
Ps 82:8	Arise²¹, O God, judge the earth: for thou²² shalt inherit all nations.
