Ps 12:1
David, destitute of human comfort, craves help of God.
Ps 12:1
NATION, THE

To the chief Musician upon Sheminith, A Psalm of David. Help2, LORD; for the godly3 man ceaseth; for the faithful4 fail from among the children of men.

Ps 12:2

They5 speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering6 lips and with a double heart7 do they speak.

Ps 12:3
He comforts himself with God's promises, and his judgments on the wicked.

COMMENDATION-REPROOF

The LORD shall cut8 off all flattering lips, and the tongue9 that speaketh proud10 things:

HUMILITY-PRIDE

Who have said, With11 our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own:12 who is lord over us?

KINDNESS-CRUELTY
PROMISES, DIVINE

For the oppression13 of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now14 will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at15 him.

SILVER

The words16 of the LORD are pure words: as silver17 tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

Ps 12:7

Thou shalt18 keep them,19 O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

Ps 12:8

The wicked20 walk on every side, when21 the vilest men22 are exalted.
