Psalms 5 Vs: 12 En: 255:136 He: 123:90

Ps 5:1	David prays, and professes his study in prayer.
Ps 5:1	¶ *To the chief Musician upon Nehiloth, A Psalm of David.* Give¹ ear to my words, O LORD, consider my² meditation.
Ps 5:2	Hearken unto the³ voice of my cry, my King⁴, and my God: for unto thee⁵ will I pray.
Ps 5:3 •DEVOTIONAL LIFE	⁶My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
Ps 5:4	God favours not the wicked.
Ps 5:4 •SIN-SAVIOUR	For thou art not a God⁷ that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil⁸ dwell with thee.
Ps 5:5	The⁹ foolish shall not stand¹⁰ in thy sight¹¹: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.
Ps 5:6 •TRUTH-FALSEHOOD	Thou shalt destroy¹² them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor the bloody¹³ and deceitful man.
Ps 5:7	David, professing his faith, prays to God to guide him;
Ps 5:7 •TEMPLES •WORSHIP, TRUE AND FALSE	¶ But¹⁴ as for me, I will come into thy house in the¹⁵ multitude of thy mercy: and in thy¹⁶ fear will I worship¹⁷ toward thy holy temple¹⁸.
Ps 5:8 •GUIDANCE	Lead¹⁹ me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of mine²⁰ enemies; make²¹ thy way straight before my face.
Ps 5:9 •COMMENDATION-REPROOF •RIGHTEOUS-WICKED •SILENCE-SPEECH	For²² there is no faithfulness²³ in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness²⁴; their throat is an open sepulchre; they²⁵ flatter with their tongue.
Ps 5:10	to destroy his enemies;
Ps 5:10	¶ Destroy²⁶ thou them, O God; let²⁷ them fall by²⁸ their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they²⁹ have rebelled against thee.
Ps 5:11	and to preserve the godly.
Ps 5:11 •BATTLE OF LIFE •JOY-SORROW •JOY-SORROW	But³⁰ let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout³¹ for joy, because thou defendest³² them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.
Ps 5:12	For thou, LORD, wilt bless³³ the righteous; with favour wilt³⁴ thou compass³⁵ him as with a shield.
