Ps 76:1

To the chief Musician on Neginoth, A Psalm2 or Song of Asaph3. In Judah4 is God known: his5 name is great in Israel.

JERUSALEM
Salem
Zion

In Salem6 also is his tabernacle, and his dwelling7 place in Zion.

Ps 76:3

There8 brake he the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah.

Ps 76:4

Thou art more glorious and excellent than the mountains9 of prey.

Ps 76:5

The stouthearted10 are spoiled, they11 have slept their sleep: and12 none of the men of might have found their hands.

Ps 76:6

At thy13 rebuke, O God of Jacob, both14 the chariot and horse are cast into a dead15 sleep.

SELF-JUSTIFICATION-SELF-CONDEMNATION

Thou, even thou,16 art to be feared: and who17 may stand in thy sight when18 once thou art angry?

Ps 76:8

Thou didst19 cause judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still20,

Ps 76:9

When21 God arose to judgment, to save22 all the meek of the earth. Selah.

RESTRAINTS, DIVINE

Surely23 the wrath of man shall praise thee: the remainder24 of wrath shalt thou restrain.

An exhortation to serve him reverently.

COVENANTS AND VOWS

Vow25, and pay unto the LORD your God: let all26 that be round about him bring presents unto him27 that ought to be feared.

Ps 76:12

He shall28 cut off the spirit of princes: he is terrible29 to the kings of the earth.
